I set up my BRS 5 stage RO/DI, it has been running for a while now, and all of the stages fill up completly except for the DI stage. The DI fills up to 10% at the most. Is it supposed to be full of water?

My di stage will only fill up a little when running the di, as far as I know this is normal ;)

What you see is normal. The other stages are under pressure, the DI is gravity so does not fill completely if the outlet hose is below the level of the canister. Just make sure it has some water in it at all times when not in use so the resin stays wetted.

While its not needed, you can unscrew the DI canister while it's running and it'll fill up for you. The OCD in me can't stand seeing it only half full.

Mine is full right now but it has the auto shutoff on it so it backs up until full then shuts off.

Mine will fill up when I have the di bypass on when making water for my pitcher that I use for my morning coffee. Will go back down as soon as I start running the di.

I don't drink coffe but after getting a glass off tap water today I would rather drink DI water but your idea is better. Thanks barb. Lol

It does not matter if it is full or 1/10 full. The water travels up through the center where it is unseen so makes no difference. You can unscrew it and allow it to fill but as soon as it shuts off or the 1/4" treated water line falls below the canister it will drop again.

Don't worry about it, its perfectly normal and does not affect the performance as long as it has some water in it. Don't sweat the little stuff!
