So with the sale going on I thought it would be time to get an actual unit rather than keep trying to make my well water work. My tanks are really heavy in softies and mushroom ao stability hasn'st been %100 crucial and a little "dirty" has been ok. Everything is happy but recently I have been starting to keep a few SPS and I am running into high alk from my well and this is the where all roads lead me. Time to get some real good water going into the tanks.

So my question is do I just go for the 7 stage that's on sale for $249?

Or would that just be over kill, I have NOT gotten any tests done on my water by the county and I know that will be the best way to know but i wont be able to do that before this sale is over hahah

Soooooooooo

Right now I only have 2 tanks with a total volume of 115 gallons, add in the QT and we are at 155g.

I will be upgrading to around 180g DT next year but that's not for a while.

My well water is very hard and I'm sure has more unknown TDS to boot so I just want to get what will make the tanks the happiest without over spending for something I dont need. That's the hard part I know because I dont know exactly what's in my water to start. So this will be a blind guess. But if someone uses a 4 stage with a well and they are in a similar situation their decision could influence mine on which stage to get....that's why your opinions matter!

If you have well water, your water is most likely very dirty. $250 for a 7 stage seems like a really good deal. Is that the model that has the pressure gauge and TDS meter as well? If it's not and you need to save money, you can get the 5 stage w/ pressure gauge and TDS meter and always buy the extra stages later if you find your TDS isn't reading 0 on the output.

The 5 and 6 stage are so close to the 7 stage on sale it almost doesnt make sense to get anything but the 7 stage, I love how they do that! So I'm grabbing the 7 stage 75g a day for 250. I am also grabbing the valve and dual TDS meter. I think from BRS that's all I'll need....?

Seems simple enough to install lol
