Ok, this is weird. I mixed up a gallon jug for my doser, there was particulates in it. they dettled to the bottom. figured no biggie but over the course of a week my alk was up and down. No amount of shaking would fix the problem so I mixed another batch.

same thing!

maybe I let my salt water mix in with my ro...would that do it? (there is only one house out of my mixing station).

Try heating up the bottle by putting it in hot water and see if helps.
The first time I mixed it I got chunks in the bottle. That fixed it.

Have you tried heating baking soda in the oven as dosing that for alkalinity control? Does a better job of maintaining alkalinity levels without altering pH than by using standard unbaked baking soda.
