I like the Randy Holmes-Farley calculator because it tells me the balanced amount for alk and calcium. I use BRS soda ash and BRS Calcium Chloride. What am I supposed to put in as the product to get the correct dosing amount?

BRS has a calculator on there website for easy dosing amounts. Here you go!

I prefer randy's. Like I said it gives you a numbers for both alk and calcium to be balanced. I am pretty sure that one of Randy's recipes is the same as BRS, I'm just not sure which.

I believe he formulated BRS two-part. You might want to DM and ask your question directly, that way you don’t get 20 different, potentially incorrect opinions.

Recipe 1 is the recipe that uses sodium carbonate (i.e., baked baking soda or washing soda or soda ash).

Recipe 2 is the recipe that uses sodium bicarbonate or unbaked baking soda.

Thank you. Does anyone ever tell you that you are greatest, because I think you are. Thanks for everything you do for this forum and the reefing community.

You can just google randy holmes-farley calculator. Google picks it up for me by the end of randy.
