Set up a brs temp controller (with 300 watt heating element) on my reefer 250 a few days ago and have been experiencing a much wider temp variation then when I was using my apex as the temp controller. Have it set to a temp of 78° with a 0.3° swing and it has been all over the place between 77 and 78.25. Calibrated the BRS temp probe using the apex probe and verified with a traditional thermometer. Anyone else using this experiencing similar issues? Always hear people say redundancy is better but is it worth it to have the separate temp controller connected to the apex if it's not going to keep the temp as consistent?

I was having the same issues. I sent it in for them to “test” it. If you look around the site you’ll see this is becoming a reoccurring issue. My temperature swings where way outside their posted stats. Plus the controller would lose calibration within hours. Hopefully BRS will resolve the issues with mine. I was really hoping it would work. I’ll give you a guess where I controlled via Apex ;)

These controllers have a setback that you can adjust? Stinkbirds and Ranco do.
