BRS Titanium Heaters - Are they any good?

I know this is an old thread, but I need to have a moan somewhere.

I came downstairs this morning, and my Inkbird low temp alarm was beeping. A quick peek the Inkbird controller showed a temp of 73.2. My two D-D 350w titanium heaters had both failed after about 12 months (D-D being what these things are badged here in the UK). Red Sea recommend 600w for that tank, so I thought 2x350w would be fine.

I now think these heaters are rubbish.

Well, the 4 heaters in my new system are performing fine for past few months. No issues to report just yet but will be sure to post if they crap out prematurely.

BRS titanium heaters are pure junk. I went through three 600 waters over the past 2 years. The first one was replaced under warranty after 8 months of ownership. I purchased an additional 600 water to compliment my replacement. The replacement crapped out after 6 months. And my other just went bad the other day. I would say the average life span is no more then 1 year. Hopefully I can find a reliable replacement... never again will I purchase their heaters.

Still going strong on all of mine. Some are 4 years old now and not a single failure to date
