BRS to aquire Marine Depot

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN., Aquatic Sales Solutions, LLC (dba Bulk Reef Supply) or “BRS”, the eCommerce leader in saltwater aquarium supplies has acquired California-based Marine Depot.

The Marine Depot website will continue to operate fully, including taking customer orders, until July 30, 2021. At which time, the site will be folded into BRS with all website traffic redirected to BRS (bulkreefsupply.com).

BRS is committed to ensuring Marine Depot customers are well supported during this transition. BRS will do so through the following initiatives:

• Honoring all Marine Depot gift cards at Bulk Reef Supply
• Transferring of loyalty reward points to a BRS account
• Honoring the Marine Depot return policy for orders placed prior to June 23, 2021 (all sales on or after June 23, 2021, at Marinedepot.com are final)
• Assisting with warranty support for qualifying orders.
• Maintaining the Marine Depot long-standing blog & YouTube channel, popular among aquarists worldwide.
• Keeping a strict focus on providing quality saltwater aquarium equipment.
• Continuing to stock & support popular brands like AquaMaxx.

Marine Depot shows that they shipped mine out today so it looks like they are handling those orders

They shipped out of Vegas and got to California the next day though.
Taking out East Coast and West Coast next day deliveries is a BAD move.
A lot of people used MD for that reason with out that and now with it going to Minnesota it hurts the Industry in whole. They better have a plan for this or it could backfire as the Big Boys take out all the competition. I know it leaves me scrambling to find another outlet now because 3 Day shipping doesn't cut it in this day an age.

I must have missed the part where BRS and marine depot were the only two retailers of saltwater equipment.

MD was BRS biggest competitor I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Lots of times went there because BRS didn't carry the same stuff. Also, shipping was far faster.

I don't think they've shipped out of CA for years... just NV and GA.
