Dumb question here...First time using this for calcium chloride and soda ash. Noticed that when I put the RODI water in after putting the respective amounts of each chemical, the jug gets hot. Is that normal?

Thanks! Just wanted to be sure I wasn’t doing something wrong. Not sure what, lol, bc it’s so simple.

From the way you worded it, it sounds like you added water to chemical? Just for future reference, do it the other way around :)

Correct, BRS instructions state it that way. If it’s better I’ll follow your suggestion [emoji106]

I fill my jugs a little over half. Put in chemicals. Shake every so often over 30 mins or till fairly clear. Fill the rest the way.

Question for those that switched from one dosing brand to another...is it really trial and error to determine if I dose same per day? I’m switching from Fritz’s RPM two part. Not sure if I just lower dosing schedule then ramp up as needed? Just want to avoid big swings.

Not trial and error, unless you want that way, or the product you were using doesn't say how much of what is in it (e.g., the potency).

Does anyone know the potency of BRS two part soda ash and calcium chloride? I know how much I have to dose for Fritz RPM two part and if I can get the BRS potency in mL/gallon I can compare.

Have an email out to BRS but so far the chat agent has told me to use the BRS calculator but that gives me a measurement in grams which I don’t think is helpful since I need volume.
