I’m sure it’s been asked however a quick search shed zero results.

Im looking at finally buying a 5 stage today and can get the 5 stage value for 145 or the premium for 180.

Is the premium the “new system” they just advertised?

My tank and my coffee machine probably use 6 gallons combined a week.

Thoughts on benefits of the premium vs value?

Yes I find the tds meter and pressure gauge to be an important addition, I even added an additional tds meter right after my ro membrane. That way you can determine when it's time to change the ro membrane.

Thanks guys/gals. I went with the value unit for now.

I’ll set it up and get a better understanding of the system and add in a tds monitor down the line. (Pun intended)

Has anyone found a simple schematic that shows how it all fits inline? I find there is a lot of information out there!

They are really easy to install, all you have to do is clip the tubing and push into the fitting of the meter. BRS has a few to choose from, you want one to determine your incoming water value, one after the ro membrane, and one at the end supply. The one after the ro membrane should give you a reading based on the performance rating of the ro membrane you use, and the end supply should read zero. For you application this is the one I'd recommend, I personally couldn't live without it. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/triple-inline-tds-meter-trm-1-hm-digital.html there's an install vid on the brs site.

Thanks lion king! That’s the one I’m looking at!

All makes sense!

Now I’m a little sheepish that I might be in trouble only getting a 5 stage for Venice, California!

Don't use RO/DI for your coffee. You can use the RO water before it gets to your DI canisters just fine (That is what I use, stored in an RO pressurized tank), but RO/DI is supposed to not be good for you.

The pressure guage is important when watching your filters as well. If the pressure starts to drop then you have a dirty sediment filter. And it also helps you know that the system is running at the optimum pressures.
