So I'm pretty sure one of my nassarius snails is killing or eating or both one of my blue legged hermit crabs. That crab used to be very active but the last couple of weeks not so much and has gone MIA a couple of times. Part of me wants to rescue him but I am assuming if this is happening that is what should happen? Wasn't quite ready for this part. Just a point of observation.

My largest male emerald crab just bit off chunks of skeleton off a small homewrecker frag I have. Needless to say I caught him and put him in the sump. The frag is still alive and appears to be well enough to heal thankfully. I don’t think this would of happened if he was better fed, but yea they will try just about anything.

Life on the reef, even in our tanks, can be survival of the fittest.

I had an emerald crab moulting last week and he fell out of his hiding place and a nassarious snail came and ate him.
