Hi everyone,

I went by Bargain Hunt (Essex) on Nolensville today to try to find a fan for my garage so I can try to work on my tank in this stupid head and ran across one actual Brute trashcan (looked a little dirty and scuffed a bit, but wouldn't matter for water changes) for $29 and another brand (Continental Huskee) for $15. The Brute was a 44 gallon, the Huskees were 32 gallon I think. They're rated the same as Brutes for food contact, so I think its pretty much the same thing. They did have one 44g Huskee for $19, but yours truly grabbed that one. :D

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up!

They still have the large blue Brute for $29 with 20% off (date based price reductions). I picked up two of the 32g for $11.99 this morning. Great for ATO. :D

What do you mean? I'll probably just use an Aqualifter or peristaltic pump of some sort to pump it into the sump.

Brandon

If the water level in the brute is higher than the sump it will create a siphon.

Ahh... gotcha. Not an issue with the Aqualifter or peristaltic. :)

Cool, Lindsey. I'm thinking 32g would be best because A) It should last a week, I think... and B) it should be better for my RO/DI. Oh, and C) It was $11.99. :D

At most I have evaporated 25 gallons a week. Lately it has been 10.

Perfect. Maybe mine will last 2 weeks then. :)
