Does anyone know what is causing a gelatious sludge at the bottom of brute garbage cans that are used for RO water?

Are you mixing salt in it? If so it could be anti caking agents. If its just ro water there can be a bacterial film. I drain mine completely and air dry to prevent this.

Experienced the same thing. Also in ATO reservoirs if not cleaned out from time to time.
Amazing that some bacterial species can make a go of it in RODI water.
