that looks really good. love the bend in the pipe. looks good
Thanks, they are super easy to make and much cheaper than buying the premade ones. I made that for about $3.00 , would have been $33 if I had to buy the pipe bender.

That's pretty good indeed and it looks good too, and above all it holds the lights in placeThanks, they are super easy to make and much cheaper than buying the premade ones. I made that for about $3.00 , would have been $33 if I had to buy the pipe bender.

Here are a few pics of the Pico's new NanoBox MonoBox w/ internal USB controller . It isnt hanging yet , but soon will be .
Need to get my camera out and stop using my phone.
@ jbb-00 Nice set-up ... how is it coming along if I may ask ?
VERY BAD NEWS :
Pico crashed a few days ago. Lost pretty much everything , even zoas. Not really sure what caused it. I did a water change , and POOF everything was gone in about 2 hours. I used the same salt as what the tank was setup with , same bucket even. I checked all params with the exception of the PH , so that may have been it. But I checked it after the fact and the PH was spot on . Raniford goby and pom pom crab made it , but I lost the green banded goby.
SOOOOO
Tank is back up and running , going to let it just chill for a bit before adding anything. Will probably add some pods, let them populate the tank , stock up on the small beneficial critters. Then get going with the coral / inverts, if I do add fish this time around it will only be if I can get these
Trimma maiandros
OR
Yasha / pistol
Those are all that I will consider.
Thanks to those who have been part of this thread so far , it will be back to being a reef soon.
Gee sorry to read about the crash ... did you figure out what happened? Just a water change would not have caused that IMO. It must have been something else especially if it happened that fast. Is there anything else you did that may have caused it. Stirred up the substrate too much maybe and caused a big ammonia spike ? If you figure it out do let us know. Thanks and sorry again about your losses.
BTW those are nice choices you are considering!
As far as I know, it had to be something in that batch of water. Im not currently dosing anything, so I know it wasnt that. Substrate wasnt disturbed because I slowly pour the water into the #1 chamber of the filtration (only houses a heater in that location) . I really wish I knew what it was, but Im at a loss to the exact cause. I ran carbon in an AC50 for about 3 days after , then once the water cleared up I did another water change and now its just on cruise control. I will continue to monitor for the next week or so before adding anything, but my snails all seem to be ok so far.
Yes very odd indeed. Did some soft coral die and pollute the water with its toxins ... are you missing a soft coral if you had any ? Not sure either what could have caused it otherwise. Very odd indeed
Very sweet acan! Did it survive the crash?
The following was in the tank
plating monti cap (red , green, & purple)
ORA green birdsnest
red / green war coral
1 head hammer
fungia plate
14 different zoa/paly
I lost it all . the fungia wasnt a total loss, it is in my 33 right now, and seems to be fighting to make it so we will see.
Totally forgot about that lil guy. It did survive but is in rough shape, and also in my 33. Im hoping to save it, but if I cant I will be getting another frag of it for sure.
Sorry I must have not stated correctly what I was asking ... did one coral die first and that is what caused the total crash ... or maybe you do not know as you may not have been there ... just wondering ... Thanks and again sorry for all your losses
My monti plates bleached immediately . then when my fungia started melting away it was all down hill from there. It all happened so fast there was nothing I could do.
The acan is recessed pretty bad , but it has color so that gives me hope. The fungia is mostly skeleton, but the mouth is still there along with some of the tentacles, so I have been offering food . It has taken a few pieces of mysis , but not like it was.
