I have a sps tank what can I do to kill off the bryopsis algae my phosphates and nitrates are 0 my tank has be running for 4 year IV never had this stuff until now ?

I've heard about raiding the magnesium with the Kent tech what's the deal with the peroxide and is it safe for the Coral.

Do the Kent tech m. I tried peroxide for 6 months and no good came from it. Save yourself the time and hassle and use the Kent tech.

I went and got some Kent tech today and some more emerald crabs

I thought I read that Kent re-worked the formula and it no longer has whatever piece that was responsible for killing bryopsis. I could be wrong.

I tried the magnesium, it seemed to help a little bit. I have always kept mine at 1450-1500ppm, I went all the way up to 2000ppm. Some of my Acros didn't appreciate that. I tried lettuce nudi's, they seemed to try to hang around the bryopsis, but with all my flow and Vortechs it didn't end well. In the end, manual removal, emerald crabs and nutrient reduction worked for me. The emerald crabs didn't really bother with it until I cleared most of it out, then they finished off what was left. Get the larger emeralds, at least nickel sized bodies.

The old formula is still readily available. Look in the reviews on amazon to find the right one. I tried peroxide then an army of lettuce nudis then tech m. Tech m was the only thing that worked fast enough to kill it before it grew back. Raise your mag with the old formula to 1800 and keep it at that for around 3 weeks or until all gone.
