I posted on here about corals and I discovered branch like algae growing in my tank. I can't for the life of me get a good picture but I thought it looked like bryopsis. I treated with fluconazole 600mg (with DT and Sump, I guesstimated I have 35 gallon system). Two weeks will be this coming tuesday and while it kind of looks like its shriveling, I cannot say that there is less or more in the system. Its definitely not gone. Now I'm not entirely sure it is bryopsis. I know its supposed to look like feathers but I don't really think it does, it looks like branches to me. What should I do? Do I just wait and continue to not do WCs until its gone? Do I redose? Try a different method? Any help would be so much appreciated. I will post whatever pictures I can get for you as well.

Also how does every take their photos? I want to get better photo quality for close ups?

Photos are important for identification, and microscopy is also important. The simple aspect of "feathers" does not allow to identify the algae as being Bryopsis, there are several species that are not Bryopsis and also present the aspect of "feathers", as below:

Cladophora ordinata ............. Caulerpa taxifolia.................... Bryopsis pennata

If I had to guess. I would say most similar to the first photo. So what should I do since it’s not clearing up?

Cladophorales are algae very resistant to fluconazole, but as they grow slowly and do not multiply rapidly, they can be controlled with good pruning and a good cleaning crew; snails, herbivorous fish, hermit crabs and some sea urchins can do the job.
