Any way you could frag the mohawks away?

Can you get to the polyps without the algae?

it would be hard to scrape off the polyps without getting any bryopsis on it to spread onto a new frag. ill try to take a picture tomorrow

Try a lettuce Nudibranch, they love bryopsis, also raising your mag levels to the 1650-1800 level using Kent's Tech M mag has been very successful for a lot of people battling bryopsis

75/25 tank water to peroxide dips. Dip for about 10-15 seconds (after you prune off as much as you can) and rinse in tank water. Repeat after 3-4 days. It breaks down the cell walls and turns it white. At this point its a lot easier for crabs and snails to eat it, so drop a few on the frag if it's up on a frag rack. Took a while, but this beat the bryopsis on some of my frags.

Hey. I had a lett. nudi. wipe mine out. But the mag. seemed to keep it gone. Let me know if you lose them and I can bring you a new one to the swap meet. I can bring you a Bam Bam too, I thought I read somewhere you lost one of those. Are you going to Mike's on the 28th?

I scrape all the bryopsis and algae off that i can and cover the whole area with super glue.

Hey, yeah, the bambams got swallowed by the bryopsis, i saved maybe one or two polyps, but also a forest of bryopsis around those polyps as well. They're struggling. At this point, the mohawks are ok, I'll try some of the solutions here and let you know how it goes. I appreciate the support! =] I will most likely be at Mikes on the 28th.

I had it choking out a few zoa frags at one time. I got a foxface which didn't really seem to do a lot of good. What finally did a turn around was to place the frags in a darkened area, not completely void of light, and cut down on nutrients. Heavy skimming if you have fish and have to feed like I do. Took about a month but finally no more bryopsis (seems to need strong light to survive) and the frags are back in the light and doing well. I had it real bad on one frag. It stayed down at the bottom only getting actinic. Must have been 5-6 weeks. Couple weeks ago I remembered about it and now it is up top again and spitting out little zoas.
