Hello all, my kid has a biology project and chose to grow bryopsis over a period of a month to record its growth. I know this is considered a pest, so I'm thinking it will be an easy and fun expirement. I know little to nothing about what's needed for a saltwater tank but I'm sure this can all be found online or on here. The cultivation of byropsis, however, is not something ive been able to find easily since most things I've seen are on removing the plant. My questions are these:
- is there a general guidline to follow for addition of nutrients to the tank that will work for a good percent of algae? We're trying to keep the amount of nutrient variation minimum to see how well this grows compared to other algae.
-is there anyone here willing to sell some bryopsis? I've been able to find a bit of it on ebay but for the project we plan on using 3 small tanks, with different amounts of sunlight so I'm looking for a pretty decent quantity of the bryopsis.
Thanks!
