Just wanted to add my experience with the battle. I dosed mine over a month ago and it made a dent in it, I have about 75 gallons give or take I started with 1300 mg, and after three weeks when that didn't work, I added the the rest of the 10 pack I got. After a month it is still lighter then it used to be but still there. I think that it is turf algae and maybe doesn't work as well with that. I ordered some Vibrant that should be here today, hopefully that will be the magic ingredient. Fingers crossed.

I've been trying to get bryopsis and gha under control for a few months now it has spread pretty quick. I've tried Dr.tims and like most I had mixed results it would start to die off then come back I have got the gha under control some but the bryopsis isn't budging, plus lost a couple corals in the process. I just ordered some fluconazole hopefully it takes care of it. I've been thinking about pulling at the rock and starting over but don't really want to do that. I'll share a pic of my infestation when I get home.

Do you have any pictures of it?

No snail or urchin deaths so far. There have been a couple people that have urchins and not noticed any harm to them.

14days in.. Algae died off.. Pincushion alive.. Everything perfect but both Halloween died on the same night.. Perfectly active before.. Could be coincidence who know

Thanks for the info and sorry for the urchins but was your treatment worth it in the end?

It was Yeah but sad if it's what ended them not sure what happened had them a while but to die together seemed strange
Yes, It's sad and thanks for posting your findings.

Yeah that seems kind of strange that they would both die the same night just out of nowhere.I mean it's possible that it was something else but if they were normal before then I would lean towards the treatment had something to do with it. I don't know that for sure but we'll have to keep a note of that in case others have those same kind of urchins.

I have 6 urchins that were in the tank when I did the treatment. Two of them are halloween and they, along with my 2 tuxedo and 2 white pin cushion all survived.

I am not saying your treatment did not kill them because every tank is different. I am just sharing my experience.

Strange isn't it.. I've monitored nutrients etc all been OK to be honest.. My marine pure blocks etc kept it in check could have been anything but just seemed weird. Glad the treatment has worked though.. Was for Gha for me

It is strange. Over the years I have had negative things happen in my tanks that I could never pinpoint the cause. One of the joys(?) of reefkeeping. :)

I found a dead narsarius (spelling) yesterday, removed it as dont want it leaching back into the tank, I just tossed it into the bucket I keep my glass cleaner etc in, forgot about it until I came home from work today and it reeked really bad lol. Whether its because of the treatment who knows, but I also lost a couple of small acans over the last few days too:(

I only have a few acans but they didn't react at all during treatment. There may end up being contributing factors that we don't know about that will come out as more research is done. Hopefully you don't lose anything else.
