Any chance you could drop a link for these pills? I'm not having luck searching through the pages or Google even.

That is very strange behavior. Maybe there's something else going on in your system that you're not aware of?

Can you check your tanks parameters?
I need to do this today. Should have done it when I noticed what the snails were doing. All my old snails are still cruising around like normal, so perhaps it is just an acclimation issue.

Hi and good work on this thread, so many people having great results, im planning on doing the treatment myself.. i have a 100L system give or take and im looking to dose 300mg of fluc. my system is non mechanical filtration just a box of rocks and an algae bed in the sump which has cheato calpura and hair algae growing in it.
my plan is to take the sump of line for a day, empty it clean it remove the algae. return the lr and put it back on line and start the treatment.. my question is.
with all the dying algae polluting the water column as it dies off wont this cause massive spikes in p03 and p04? i plan on doing a 50% wc at the end of the 14 days and possibly syphoning the dt thro a filter sock everyday during the treatment. im just concerned that huge swings in parameters will occur and at the moment my system is balanced well, i dont want to ruin the last years work just to rid some algae from my DT! im scared : ( can someone put my mind at rest and tell me its all going to be ok lol

Nobody has had any huge swings in nutrients during the treatment and definitely not enough to ruin their system. Filtering out the dying algae will help you keep nutrients down until you can perform a water change. Everyone that has treated their tanks have had the same die off(some more than others) that you're worried about and everything has been fine so hopefully this makes you feel a little better.

Having different weapons to battle these pesky problematic infestation is always good. As we all know " results vary! ". I've had great luck with Vibrant. My whole tank was bubble algae. Now it's free and clear. Did take a few months of treatment. I was very easy with it at first, but once I saw no ill effects I upped the dosage. It's now part of my weekly matainance. I will say that Vibrant definitely affects macro algea.
Yes Vibrant does affect micro algae, however this isn't Vibrant and does not affect any micro algae that we know of yet. So far all have survived :)

If they are new Mexican turbos it is very possible that it's the acclimation. They can be pretty finicky. Please let us know your test results :)

Why don't you just place another order? I ordered enough for two treatments just in case and got the order in two days from across the country for extra $7 shipping.

If it was within my means this week I would. sadly it is not.

Haha, now that mine is gone i was looking at everything last night with a flashlight. What did I find besides no bryopsis you might ask? 4 aptasia I didn't know about! Ugh... I only ever had 2 now I have 6, I KNEW I should have grabbed that marjano wand from the sales forum yesterday! Lol BTW, those things really do work ;)

So this works on GHA? I have been fighting GHA for months now and nothing seems to work. I really don't want to do a tear down but am at that point.
My tank is small ( 29 gal) is there a big danger of overdosing?

Yes it works on GHA but it takes longer on average. You can help it by pulling all you can before dosing, adding light to low light areas, skimmer off or turned down and removing the cup and no use of purigen. Gfo and gac use is up to you. You need one 200mg capsule per 10 gallons of water volume. If you do everything I stated above especially pulling the worst of it out before dosing you probably will not need to do a second dose. It is best to dose the correct amount first and wait it out at least 21 days. If at 21 days the green hair algae is not completely gone you may do a small water change and dose again. That should clear up anything that is left. Also be sure you have a decent clean up crew as this helps as well. Having two or three Mexican turbos should suffice.

Yes it does. When you order get at least enough for two doses. Then
1. do a water change and harvest as much as you can.
2. Remove carbon and skimmer. Gfo might be ok but jury is still out.
3. Medicate and light up as much of the tank as you can, shadowed spots do not clear up as fast as well lit areas.

4. Increase lighting time if you feel is safe for your corals.
5. Wait 21 days and if some is still present do a water change, run carbon and skimmer for 1 day, remove carbon and skimmer and remedicate.

Oh well. We learn by repetition. :-)

Day 7 lost a few sps and minimal polyp extension on the rest of my corals. 29 gallon biocube with a lot of briopsis and the die off I think proved too much for a small water volume. Pink anthia is also breathing heavy and not happy.

Doing water changes today. Ran without skimmer and carbon and while briopsis is dying so is everything else.

Well it came a day early! I'll be starting tomorrow after maintenance!

It can't be the wv because many people have dosed this even in fish bowls. I also have a 29 gallon that's being treated and is perfectly fine, no losses or stresses of any kind. Although this tank does not have SPS in it. If you dose per water volume the effect will be the same on any other tank no matter what size it is per water volume. What are your parameters?

I'm not saying your situation isn't happening I believe that it is. However I'm not sure it's due to the fluconazole directly. so I would like to see if there's some way we can get to the bottom of it and fix the situation if we can
