Yours is going to be a quick knockout for sure lol.So today I did a nice 30% water change in preparation for skipping a water change or two due to doisng. I tried the Tech M trick for a month and it seemed to work but about a month after I lowered my magnesium levels back down to normal, it was back. The bryopsis really only seems to grow out of my GSP so we shall see how it works. Just dosed 20mg per gallon and everything seems fine, just a tad cloudy. Here is what I'm working with. Not bad at all compared to what some have, but might as well stay ahead of it!
Day 1:

I haven't seen it asked or spoken of. Is there a overdose amount that has been observed? No I am not wanting to dose again lol.
My fear is that my tank is so overrun with bryopsis that I will need to dose again. I am thinking that at day 8 (based on my observations in this thread) that I will know if I need to dose again. If it is needed, how early is too early? How much is too much? Should there be a lighter second dose? I went 1200mg the first round. Would 800 be appropriate the 2nd?
Again, this is all hypothetical. I am not rushing to any judgements. I have high hopes and expect the initial dose will be enough to eradicate this foul vegetation from my aquarium.
If you just have GHA and not Bryopsis, Marine Algae Fix will kill it all. Takes 3-4 weeks dosing every three days. It's not dangerous (just an algaecide) because it leaves the water after 24 hours. You can dose it a little higher than the instructions.
Algaefix had no effect on my gha.If you just have GHA and not Bryopsis, Marine Algae Fix will kill it all. Takes 3-4 weeks dosing every three days. It's not dangerous (just an algaecide) because it leaves the water after 24 hours. You can dose it a little higher than the instructions.
It's on the rocks and sandIs it everywhere or only where the algae was?
How do i increase nutrient export? It could be due to nutrients being released back from dying algae. I have the same problem due to 25ppm NO3 (usually kept at 5ppm or below) after a week or two of my 18-days successful treatment. Just increase your nutrient export to clear up these accumulation for a week or two until it clear up.
when you say coals. Do your mean carbon?OK purchased! Saturday I do a water change and I delete the coals!
and I put a 150 mg capsule!
then the next water change when I do?
