Carbon and water change seem in order. Really sorry about your problems. I haven't seen anyone else report that. Did you dose the standard amount? Did you have a while lot of bryopsis? Maybe it was the amount of die off?
The only* person I have seen with this problem dosed daily and not ONE time.

It has been posted in this thread about every 7-10 pages. I hope you have read at least the instructions on page 1 and the FAQ posted directly after (not trying to be rude, it's for for you and your tanks sake). If not PLEASE do so.

Thank you for the info i did read your FAQ and few pages of the thread. When i didnt see it i started searching online myself but couldnt find a source which is why i posted to ask.

I think I figured out what happened to me. I forgot that I reduced my Kalk input. My ALK dropped about .5 or more. It's not much but I think that's what did it.

Just making sure [emoji12] We had someone "skim" over it real fast, and instead of dosing once he dosed daily... lost a lot of livestock. The websites can't be posted in the FAQ or instructions as they aren't sponsors of the forum. But it is posted over 100 times throughout this thread lol.

8 weeks in. GHA is slowly dieing

Thanks for response.

I have encrusting montis. Either way doesn't bother me, just thought I'd share
It is possible it could be irritated if some settled on it. They are usually pretty resilient and should bounce back. I would just blow it off with a turkey baster until your water is clear.

Wish this thread had been around last fall. I battled Bryopsis for months in my tank, tried every remedy I could find and nothing worked. Here are some pics when it was at its worst.

I had seen a few mentions of Fluconazole online, but I couldn't find anything that I didn't have to filter through Google Translate first, so was hesitant to try it. Ended up tearing down my tank, chiseling out any coral I could save, and tossing the rest of my rock in the trash. Thought I had it beat, but bryopsis has clawed back on the fragments of rock that were left. Yesterday I dosed Fluconazole, and I'm really hoping this knocks it out once and for all.

I just started dosing it in my system as of 4/11/17. i mixed in 100 pills just the powder ofcorse, in to my 1000 gallons of water volume. I ordered another 100 pills just in case i may need to dose more later on. so far im seeing a little curling on the ends of some batches and a littler lighter green color as well. i was going to siphon out first everything then dose, but i figured i wont be able to see the results if i do that so i just dosed like everyone else without siphoning. sps still look great , fish are fine and no problem with the inverts. ill keep an eye on my dragons breath algae and my cheato to see if it stunts its growth or has any impact on it as well.

Can I still run my Bio-media (biolpellets) with this? And how about GFO for the phophates? I KNOW not to run carbon but i'm a little confused about GFO and phosphate and how long i should keep them off or on when starting?

This stuff is freakin' amazing! By day 4 and 5 the Bryopsis in my take was very white. I took a turkey baster and the stuff was just peeling off the rocks.

Chukeer? Did you turn off all of your reactors when u started? Can i keep any media running? I mean, obviously i know to take out my carbon but for others?

I only have a carbon reactor, which I turned off prior to dosing. I also took the cup off my skimmer and just let it overflow into my tank. To large of a ph swing when I'm not running that thing 24/7.

I'm still running my biopellets and ozone. I have no choice as I'm not going to recolonize my bp reactor all over again. I'm still running my gfo as well to keep the po4 down. My sps are sensitive to anything above .06
I understood to keep everything else offline for 4 weeks then massive water change.
