I have a 75 plus sump that I dosed 1400 mg of the tablets on Sat. Afternoon. I have been fighting gha for over 4 years. Only reason I still have my reef, since a lot of the enjoyment has been ruined by gha is that I want to beat this satin's spawn. 3 days with no sign of change but not expecting it this soon. If what I read earlier that for fish treatment with flu the dose is repeated daily then that suggest to me that the medicine is absorbed or somehow disipates in 24 hours and we could go back to normal husbandry after 24 hours. I am just guessing here and will be waiting at least 14 days till I do any wcs or turn back on gfo and carbon. Continuing the vibrant which never touched my gha.

How long should I leave my skimmer cup off?
Ozone off?
Rox Carbon reactor off?

I left my skimmer cup off for the first 3-4 days but it's been hit or miss for some. There have been some people that skimmed the entire time and their bryopsis still died while others have seemed to skim too much of the meds out and they ended up using another dose. I would wait the full two weeks before you turn your carbon reactor/ozone back on.

I think is is absorbed until there is none left to absorb. Possibly why a few may need a 2nd treatment in the end if they are heavy in bryopsis (like I am). But there were one or two people who thought the same way until day 14 when it was completely gone if I remember correctly. And if I'm not mistaken I think Rick was one of them LOL. I think the best bet is to wait it out.

It's real funny how we can have the patience of a saint because we taught ourselves to be that way with our systems but when we're trying to kill something in it we have no patience whatsoever [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

I would say the 14 days. Do the wc then turn everything back on. Some people didn't turn anything off. Some only turned off one or 2 pieces of equipment. Remember we're all still testing this and seeing what works best and what's not making a difference.

Has anyone had the bryopsis come back after treatment?

Successful treatment ended early January. So far nothing comes back. Reintroduction might trigger repeat infestation. I will be more vigilant from now on. Remove any new plugs that came in, and glue new frags directly onto existing LR. 4 SPS frags are coming :D

Lol were a sad bunch of addicts! [emoji12]

I had several strands of bryopsis that lingered for 11 days or so, then they just disappeared into nothing. Still no evidence of any bryopsis in my system anymore! :)

Was that the last bit that you had that finally went away after the initial surge of death? If so I think I'm in that stage now. Brings new meaning to in like a lion and out like a lamb

Would like to hear more from those that tested flucon in their FW tanks. Need details about tanks. Thanks!
