Bryopsis Cure: My Battle With Bryopsis Using Fluconazole

So in one week my 180g will be algae free... and for all of you that will be free of it - what will you spending your newly acquired time and energy on next? Mine will be getting rid of rogue palys, rearranging some coral and anchoring some I've been afraid to do to the bry...

Got my meds today! Gonna do a water change tomorrow and then dose. Am I good to turn my skimmer off and remove my filter sock? Is that what everyone is doing?

Some are some aren't. I kept my sock and put my skimmer down low and removed the cup. I also turned off gfo and gac. I needed to keep my skimmer going because I have a CO2 scrubber attached to it

Need another choice of vote, Like, has Fluconazole killed algae other than Bryopsis. It's taking out what ever it is I have, def not Bryo, looks like brown gha.

If only there was a miracle fix for hydroids! Without nuking your tank that is.... I must have hundreds of thousands of them. Tried smashing them, super glue they just don't die [emoji26] Aptasia can be controlled better!

Yeah that's the fish bendazole that I was referring to but it will more than likely kill some inverts/snails so they have to be removed. Snails mainly(I believe)I still have to read up on it more.

I'm going to read up more on it too Thanks I can't possibly hunt down all my inverts lol. As bad as I have them the corals seem to just grow around or right over them so far. I see them as more of an unsightly nuisance

I took the cup off mine and turned it up so it's overflowing a lot so the skimmer body doesn't fill up with crud. Don't think it matters so much either way as long as you aren't actually exporting what it produces.

The chemiclean wiped out my cyano except for one spot. As far as I can tell everything in the tank looks fine. I can still see some stalks of the Bryopsis. I'm not sure if they are alive or not. I will do a large water change tomorrow and give the tank a few days to see if it continues to fade or starts to regrow. If I see any regrowth I will hit it again. I only need 1 - 200mg capsule since I only have 9 gallons.

I'm on day 9 on my 45 gallon. Most of my gha is also gray. There is one spot though that has started to regrow.

Day 6 of treating for gha. I would say 20% is now grey. If mine starts regrowing before it all dies I will be running back to the pharmacy for a refill.

Oh yeah, it's dieing! It's such a great thing to see!

Day 7 and most of the bryopsis is melting away seeing major die off of GHA as well still no skimmer running and gfo carbon reactor turned off. No cyano so far never dosed vibrant still dosing cal alk as per usual stopped everything else. Corals are ok not over the moon happy but ok. Fluco definitely kills bryopsis and gha . 300 gallon system 6000 mg dose

Im about to drop the bomb in my 70 Gallon loaded with GHA. I did just buy a nudibranch before I noticed this thread, he hasent touched the rocks just the glass and im worried I might kill off his food source. Thoughts?
