Not to jinx anything but all these years of people trying to kill byropo,,and one med kills it dead with no side effects and now its looks like it killing hair algae..

@twilliard may need some different types of algae to test Fluconazole on besides bryopsis.

Pics from this morning.

This is the low light area on day 4.5 and as you can see the bryopsis Is only slightly effected.

I would love to have more than one algae species to work with. I am thinking of setting up an algae grow out tank for this. 20 gallon?

It looks like the tips are starting to turn white on the lower areas but it's hard to tell.

I believe others have mentioned that it killed off their bubble algae. I have some bubble algae in my tank as well as some so I will be able to add to that once my capsules come in.

I don't blame you for getting a jump on it before it gets out of hand. You won't have to worry about a huge die off from having a tank full.

I have bubble algae as well. Believe me, I'm not only watching the bryopsis but the bubble algae as well. If fluconazole will do a 2 for 1 I'll take it.

I used Vibrant to kill my bubble algae.

thanks guys,
started reading thread last night after a buddy sent me a txt with a link. someone posted somewhere (too lazy to find it) that the price would probably go up. Product from payless was 30.99 for 30 caps. Finished reading thread this morning and ordered some. Price jumped overnight to 39.99 for 30 caps. Doesn't matter though , dead bryopsis is priceless!! Will post results with pics as well once treatment starts..

We figured with the sudden increase in demand for Fluconazole they would probably be going up on the price. A lot of websites were already higher than that so that's still not too bad. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your tank.
