Can we get a count on # of members that are using Fluconazole right now? @NCreefguy and maybe another member or two that are finished 1st round.
I am on day 10, almost all Bryopsis gone, a few tiny stragglers barely hanging on in back in shade. Should all be gone in another few days. 2 weeks seems to be a fairly consistent timeline for complete eradication

I started somewhere on the 15th December last year. All bryopsis was dead and gone early January. Still no sign of it today. The rocks are sparkling clean as it were 2.5 years ago.

That is good to hear, what a beautiful tank!

That second picture is in between a cave in a pukani rock smh. Hob filter has stock carbon pad in and airstone skimmer is still online. Got some cyano so let's see if it does anything to that.
Mixing meds with alcohol or other meds is bad so does anyone think adding chemiclean for the cyano be a bad thing?

So I'm assuming I should remove my algae scrubber if I try this treatment? (It would kill all the algae in the tank including macro?)
Thanks for the info on this - can't wait to try it.

Maybe add a poll to this thread. Are you treating your system with Fluconazole? Vote yes = 1

I'm adding a poll to the thread. You can change your vote if you want to. If you vote that you're treating your tank now, once it kills your Bryopsis you can change your vote to yes or no.

Chemiclean if it is spirulina.

We haven't heard anyone talk about their macros. So I can't comment on that. I would suspect that if you have GHA on your scrubber that it is probably not going to like the fluconazole. Whether it kills it, and how long fluconazole remains active in the sytem is unknown at this point. This is still very early in this treatment. :)

Luckily I am solely relying on bacteria to deal with excess nutrients in my tank. I don't have other algae issue prior to treatment except bryopsis. There is another type of algaecide similar to fluconazole which my pharmacist was saying being used in FW algae treatment.

I would take the scrubber offline, sterilize it, and start new with it after this kills all the bryopsis and gha.

I would like the name of that med if you can get it. I have black brush algae in my fw tanks.

Did you get the name for the FW tank product?
