is everyone waiting a full 14 days for the WC? I am 10 days tomorrow and itching to treat the cyano. I cant take it!!! Bryopsis is about non exsistant. Still a little on the return but most of the really bad areas are cleared up. I was thinking a batch of chemiclean tomorrow and wc on Sunday. Sunday will be 12 day mark.

Thoughts??? Feedback is appreciated.

I'm on my 2nd treatment to rid the tank of the remaining GHA. Running skimmer with no cup. It's pulling lots of gunk.

At 13 days in my nano, I dosed chemiclean. I didn't do a water change before adding it. I waited 2 days and then did a WC. The cyano I had was green and lots of it. Most of it was gone after 24 hours, all of it after 48 hours. I then started my WC's back up. So no issue with chemiclean and fluconazole at the same time.

I thought I read before to remove filter socks. How would it hurt to leave on in? I don't see this effecting the medication.

Im on day 24 and still no WC. Everything looks amazing, and no algae. I have a little slime that builds up every few days on the walls, and ive got coralline growth boosted. Still no carbon. Vibrant a few days before Fluco treatment, and again the second week. No vibrant since. Fish, inverts, corals looks great!

My gha didn't get completely wiped out after the 14 days. I decided to do a 2nd dose. 2-3 days into the 2nd treatment. Gha is turning white faster vs 1st treatment. I figured hit it again since it was hurting from the 1st treatment.

This round I removed my filter sock and cup from my skimmer. I use my skimmer to reduce CO2 levels (air intact pulls outside air) so just the cup is off and I reduced bubble height.
Please keep me posted on your progress. I am going to pick up a second round tomorrow. Saturday I will suck the gha out as I do a water change, restart my gfo, and retreat. Sunday I dose with vibrant again too. I sure hope the second round knocks ours out!

Skimmer running?

My macros are fine. Weird thing is that my fuge is still loaded with Bryopsis and GHA. That part I don't understand so much. But glad it is there and not in my DT. Anyone have the same experience?
None of thE gha in my sump turned white either. It is just slowly receding from not having any light for 5 WEEKS!!!! The stuff just does not die.

Your all doing so awesome on digging for answers!

I have suggested somewhere in this thread that light may play a role in speeding up the treatment. So weak light in the fuge may be a topic. Also for the GHA reefers, the GHA takes longer to kill off than the bryopsis. I didnt start seeing the GHA go down until weeks 3 and 4.

As far as I can see there is no adverse effects, and I have still not done a WC since the 1st dose. Tanks looking great! Have i mentioned there is no skimmer on my 20g? Muahahaha.
Did your gha die off completely? If so how long did it take?

As of now it's still in the same for., just white. After 14 days would I need to re-dose?

I didn't dose Fluco a 2nd time. I just waited it out. Letting the system feed off the dead algae. Feeding about 3/4 frozen cube a day, broken into 2-5 feedings per day.

Yes. There is zero hair algae. Everythings gone. The last week really was the nail in the coffin for the gha. The only algae im seeing is the slime and its very minimal. Pretty sure the purple coralline in going into high gear.

How long for the gha to die off?
