  • Yes

  • No

  • I'm treating my tank with it now.

Has there been any change to our belief that gfo does not remove meds?

Looks like green hair algae from the pics. Pull a sprig of it and put it in a plate, add a small amount of water for it to fan out then add some hydrogen peroxide. If it turns white overnight it is green hair algae. You can use h202, fluconazole or vibrant treatments to kill it. If it doesn't turn white then I would for sure go with fluconazole treatment.

Day four.

Not seeing much action, but some of the tips are white, broken, or a weird brown color. It's gonna be a long haul for me I think.

Don't get discouraged. I had some start to die within 2 days. However, I think I am on day 7 and I see some that looks to be growing. I am just counting on a second dose once the turbos and lettuce nudi do their bit.

Although, I may try sucking it up in a syringe and spot treating really bad areas the second time.

Finished my second dose today, going to give my tank a couple of weeks recovery time then do a third dose, there is a couple of tufts still left, mind you the whole rock work was covered, Fluconazole has been amazing, my toadstool leather has shot up like a big tree the past month, must of liked the nitrates or something, duncans recovered nice

Maybe not... day 4-5 is typically when you will begin to see the effects of it soaking up the meds ;) So I would say you're right on schedule

Either way I would use fluconazole. The others are less than likely to work.

Can't wait to see my SPS growing. When bryopsis was in my tank, it grow faster than anything else. If I have to choose between GHA and bryopsis, I would say GHA is 100x better than that fern like algae.
