Today is day 11. Pic below is last night, day 10. Clearing nicely but still a lot down left down low and some tuffs still. Will it clear in the 14 days? How much time do I give before I wc and retreat? Blowing off dead stuff. Started the skimmer back on day 9 on dry skim. What is my next step? Do I just wait? And how long? Have some cyano appearing. Had one day with no 3 at 5 and no4 at 0. Dosed phos flourish on Tue and partial dose last night. now at .13 and no3 back to 20.

Yes. Perfectly safe for all inverts.

Follow the directions on the first page and you'll be just fine.

I have 2 turbos, 6 nasarius, and a ton of trochus in all sizes as I've got babies galore. Not sure how many hermits are left and I've only seen 1 small emerald. 2 peppermints and a pistol I never see. Will start doing some scrubbing with toothbrush and keep blowing a bit each day. I figure that will help with the no3 as well as all that die off is just sitting

You can also buy the flucon at https://www.fishlifeantibiotics.com...roducts/fluconazole-200mg?variant=14961214343

10 caps for 15.99 right now. I think I found them cheaper than payless pet. Ordering another bottle as I suspect I'll be doing round 2 after some chemi clean plus my display refugium

Ordering some as well. Thanks!

cladophora

I haven't seen anyone ID that algae here, but most don't ID what they have beyond eyeballing anyway.

Other kinds of algae don't require fluconazole treatment, BTW.......bryopsis pretty much requires it.

If you don't have byropsis, I'd try old-school conventional methods first. PM me if this is interesting since this thread is not the place for it. ;)

I've been watching in the shadows very intently over the last couple months. I've been the Samurai watching this threads every move. I want to do it, I really do! I guess I'm getting closer but just haven't pulled the trigger just yet. I've had my "stuff" for about six weeks now. My issue is that my tank is such high octane I get cold feet. But after following all 210 pages I'm starting to wonder...............what if!!!!!!

Oh, and yes, its Bryopsis! The only dang thing I don't want that seems to not go away in my tank! Go figure, right? It really gets me thinking.;Nailbiting;Nailbiting

Its just a few patches here and there but I'm blown away that a new tiny patch will pop up here and there like now its traveled to the walls in my refugium.

Day 11 shots. Almost gone on the one pic. A bit slower near bottom of tank on other rock. Have enough to treat the display refugium but ordered another 10 caps in case I need a second dose. As bad as it was, I wouldn't be surprised...

so, day 12, and I've been blasting the dead stuff. My sandbed is covered with brown stuff. Is it the dead algae or something worse coming into the tank. I keep blasting it and it just resettles. I can't run carbon, vacumm or do a water change quite yet. Don't want to trade one problem algae for another!

Are you going to go the 14 days or stretch it to 21 days? If the Cyano or Dynos start to really make a presence I might say do the water change sooner rather than later. I think at least turn the protein skimmer on or put the cup back in place. Its nice that you can see the finish line. Its right there!
