Still worth manually removing while treating.
Exactly why i stated manual removal without treating could spread it. Definitely remove it while treating. Specifically several days after to give the meds time to get into the entire plant. Fluc is light reactive and needs some time to spread throughout. If you remove the bryopsis first, and accidentally leave root material, it is possible that the Fluc will not kill it if it’s not exposed to light, like in a crevice. Just an opinion and observation. I don’t claim to be an expert.

Like others have mentioned, flux RC works great, it’s actually a product that dose what it claims.

I just now caught the manual removal comment. Bryopsis will spread like crazy when you manually remove it in the tank without treating.
interesting. Good to know. I take most of it out, but some certainly floats through the water.

It’s the only one I used, it works, Byopsis is so firmly rooted Manuel removal is probably almost impossible. And if you could it wouldn’t be worth it, when you can treat with a product that actually works.

It can be a learning experience for sure. Lots of curve balls, but fun and keeps our minds working
Yes it is! I was out of it for about 6 years and I’m absolutely blown away with all the advancements and increased knowledge since then. I had some success back then, but when things went a bit haywire I felt like I was sometimes in the dark on what was going on. I’m much more confident this time around that I will be able to address and move past any issues like this..

Yeah, things changed for sure. But of all the stuff in the market that makes claims about working and don’t. Well this is one that does and really well. Nothing in my tank was affected by it.

on certain strains you can actually feel them popping when you grab them. They pop and spread without letting pieces float. Some strains may not do this.
Definitely feel a “popping” when I grab it. Sounds like I’ve definitely been adding to the problem by trying to manually remove it.

Ok that’s a Good point. Once I get the Fluc and start treating I will also start removing it again.

Been there…..done that….,like everyone is saying fluconazole. I will add caution as not everyone has had zero issues with it. There’s always a chance of something happening. There’s a great article thread here I think it’s called my battle with bryopsis. It has a pretty decent amount of useful info.

Whenever there is a rare person who said "x" killed my corals or something, the odds lean towards the user messing up or (more likely) something completely unrelated caused an issue
