Hey folks,

I believe i've asked this previously but inside a different context. I had a few strands of bryopsis a few weeks ago. I ordered reef flux and of course once it arrived the bryopsis was no where to be found, the strands were gone. I didn't see it so I didn't use the product. Skip forward a few weeks and its back, and back hard. I still have the reef flux. However, i'm stuck in a tough spot. RODI water right now is hard to come by with shops being closed and social distancing.I have about 20-25 gallons. I can either top off or mix new water for the big water change after the three week waiting period. The bryopsis is multiplying quickly and I don't want it to take over and smoother my corals, this would devastate my son. I have read mixed reviews about different species that eat bryopsis, each with different pros and cons and it seems that nothing guaranteed. Would like others experience with this to gauge my actions on how I proceed. Taking out and scrubbing or submerging in peroxide isn't an option unfortunately. This pandemics got me in a tough spot, should have resolved this initially.

Liquid vibrant. I believe there are a few RO units used on the marketplace forum

You want reef flux for bryprosis, vibrant would take a lot of dosing.

I have reeflux in my fish cabinet ready to do. My concern is that large water change at the end of the three weeks. I doubt we are going to be back to normal in a month regarding businesses and such. One of which provides my water. Can that water change be held off a number of weeks or is that three week time line tight in order to remove remnant of the algae and fungal medication out of the water column?

I never did a water change after my dose, its been in my tank for months. However, if your outbreak is bad you may have a nutrient spike. I would personally hold off until you can get water to be on the safe side, or get on BRS and order a RODI unit ;)

You're right. I may need to wait. I have tossed around the idea of an RODI system in house. However, I run off a well with a 30-50 switch and and concerned about the constant pull of my well pump as well as the low pressure and output of the RODI system without the addition of a booster pump. And, even then still have concern for the constant pull on a very expensive well pump. Should probably stop making excuses and just cash in my quarantine beer cans and buy one.
