Bryopsis in a new tank

Hello!
My tank is 4 months old and I’ve started to see a good bit of bryopsis. It’s very hard to pull off the rocks so removing all of it feels unlikely. I’ve read so many times to expect algae in the first few months. I’ve also read that you shouldn’t let an algae problem get out of control. Any advice on what my best path forward? I have a nano 32g, with a HOB with mangroves, 2 clowns and various corals. I have snails and emerald crabs and a blue leg hermit nothing really eats this stuff. Parameters and pics

Had similar issue early on. Used Fluconazole treatment and bryopsis went away and never came back!

Use fluconazole, you won't be able to get rid by hand, spreads likes disease. Flux works.
Do a water change before hand, remove carbon and run fluconazole for 14 days and it should all be dead. Be ready to do a water change and replace carbon after.

That definitely looks like GHA. Bryopsis what looks like little feathers at the ends of each strand. In my own experience Fluco works,but its a pain in the A of an algae to combat.

It made me shut down a pico a few years ago.

I'm battling GHA now,every month when I go home I just pluck it off and scrape the glass and now its virtually gone.

There is both hair algae and bryopsis. Avoid chemical treatments in tank being so new.
Pull off as much as you can by hand and reduce white light intensity or even turn off the whites completely for 7-10 days.
Assure your phos and nitrate levels havent become elevated already. Assure you get the root off of the bryopsis off rock if possible
Thereafter, add some snails such as :

Turbo
astrea
cerith
nassarius
Trochus

GHA shouldn't be hard to remove by hand. If its hard to remove and has fernlike ends to the algae its bryopsis and flux is the answer.

Gha can be removed somewhat. For bryopsis use Kent magnesium supplement to get it upwards of 15-1600 and it goes away quick.

I’ll have to get closer pictures but a good bit have branches and are not solid hairs. It’s really hard to see in photos

I think I have both, the GHA is easy to pull off and finer, the bryopsis is very hard to pull

Here is the current lighting, should I pull all moonlight out? I run a simple sponge and bio max, I have room for carbon or chemi pure- but I don’t run anything like that currently. Would that help possibly? I want to avoid chemicals if at all possible but also don’t want this to get out of hand

Royal to 85
UV to 95
Purple to 85
Red and green good
Blue to 77

bryopsis is hard to pull. You can carefully scrape it off with a paring knife. Just be sure to net all loose stuff you scrape off

Fluconazole and manual removal if you are not running a Uv its a good investment after the treatment. Also make sure you have plenty of grazers like Blue leg hermit crabs and certain snails will keep most algae away.
