Bryopsis-Is there any thing that will eat it?

I am fed up with the Bryopsis battle. I will not break down my tank and don't see a suitable way to remove my rock to manually remove it. I can grab clumps and pull those out but some of it doesn't pull easily. I have raised my Magnesium using Tech-m. That did nothing. My Phosphates have been at .08 and I have finally got it down to .04 Nitrates are currently undetectable.

Is there any animals that will eat this stuff?

Can any one share a story with a happy ending?

Sea hares, Florida cerith snails, lettuce slug will all eat it. Using a syringe attached to an air tube attached to a tiny medicine cup, cover the clump of algae and shoot hydrogen peroxide onto the base of the clump. It will be gone in a couple of days. I just went through this with my tank and I finally won the battle. Huzzah.

Tech M no longer works. They changes the ingredients.. There is another company that makes a Magnesium dose that kills it but I do not recall the name. If I find it I will update. Also like mentioned above H202 does work as well.

I had very good success with a magnificent foxface in the past. He controlled Bryopsis in my old 125g pretty good. Took him 2 weeks to mow them all down.

But I would not swear to that every magnificent does eat them.

Well, I tried h2o2, pulling, sea slug, foxface never touched it, cerith I have in system and nothing ever touched it. So, I added an algae scrubber. While it is not completely eradicated, I get small areas I can pull every few weeks. Not bad considering how much of a nusiance this stuff is. I still do h2o2, but will not get rid of it completely. I dosed directly on it 2x daily for 7 days and still grew.

Maybe I have some super briopsys. Anyway, it stays now on my return pipes and no where else, so I am happy. I grow it great on the uas too.

Yep. Poured the h2o2 directly onto the return pipes on top of the algae after pulled. 2x daily for 7 days. Enough for dosing an entire 210g on those two spots. Nothing. Seriously crazy stuff. If someone wants me to get some good pics of it, I will try next time I pull. I also now have a digital microscope (cheap one for kids) that could at least zoom in a bit to see better.

Maybe the h202 was old? I have turned off flow went into my tank full of water hit the area with a syringe left flow off for a few minutes. The next day it was white and dying.

Maybe. I am just using the 3% stuff that I just bought. I know it degrades easily though. Should I go for the 35% stuff? The pipes are partly out of the water, so dousing them does not effect much else till hits the full water column.

But my way is to put animal in sump ,light and move the sump.

Tank whit bryopsis and rocks must be taken in dark condition
Filter water from tank to sump
With carbon
20 Days and no more bryopsis

Tried mag myself couple years ago, didn't work, tech m or brs. Went the peroxide route. Though I have found nopox works to prevent it after manual removal. I had some food dump in the tank awhile back, a little spot popped up. I pulled it, and it didn't grow back. (never had that happen before)

I've used a syringe to spot treat frags with 10% H202 and within 24 hours the stuff lost all color and the water carried it away.
