I just noticed bryopsis growing on a chalice frag in my frag tank. I can easily pull the frag out and likely cut off the part of the plug that the bryopsis is growing on, but I'm not sure if I should be doing something more than just that? Should I peroxide dip the whole frag to be safe? If so, what concentration peroxide should I use?

Is there another method that might be helpful? Seems raising mag helps as well. My tank always has mag about 1600 so it shouldn't take much to raise it above 1800.

I'm just worried that I will cut/remove the bryopsis stalk and it may pop up somewhere else? How easily does this stuff move around as I only see it in one spot in the tank?

Tank is bare bottom with a few pieces of live rock and some frag racks. If it matters, here are my parameters:
Salinity 1.025
Nitrates 2
Phosphates 0
Ammonia 0
Calcium 450
Alk 8.5

Thanks for your help!

There is nothing you can do bar Fluc or maybe Epsom/Mag. Fire it out the air lock.

Clean off as much as you can and use a dropper and drop some 3% H2O2 on it. Rinse well and you should be good. This is how I've been doing it for years. Not 100% but keeps it down.

Remove the frag plug, throw it away. Epoxy coral to the rock.
