Bryopsis plague

Cheers peeps so far ordered some peroxide to give that a go 30 percent medical stuff so will dip rock in that stuff and see how it goes... I am fine with starting again if needed. My rock seems to have originally cone from a tank breakdown that I didn't know at the time so may have been bryopsis that caused that lol I'll nail it in the end.... Love the addiction to much to give up lol

You will be fine like i said mine was just as bad and now just remnants. peroxide what you can, pluck what you can. another thing that helped me was i took off my overflow teeth. only do if yours are removable and turn all your pumps up to max this gets all the debris moving and out of the dt. i would suggest filter socks to catch the debris. or if your on a budget and dont have them any sort of sack that can flow through (pillow case...) i did this once a week. also get your macros growing in ur sump with lots of light. you obviously have the nutrients. persistence you'll beat it.

This was well stated
When a person sees the first sign of bryopsis they have to get right on it. Don't say I will take care of it later. By then it becomes a big battle

disclaimer about high pct peroxide:

contact w skin produces mild chemical burns that leave white marks and go away in 4 hours, avoid, but nbd if you get on skin, you'll stop that soon enough after first round.

eyes
no room for error, permanent corneal blanching if one drop contacts, goggles are so important. i skip googles, a micro drop splashed during a pour and hit me behind my glasses, in the eyelid, not the eye thank goodness. heed the advice even though the giver is a goggle hypocrite

by all means safely dilute it to a 15% etc to ease concerns it w still burn

do all treatments external, watch the joy after you put rocks back in

given its danger, i can't say avoid at all costs
after all i sent my 14 yr old in the store to buy some otc before while i was shopping next door. health food stores sell 35% as a bath additive so care is required but it is readily available.
