Bryopsis also has a root system that clings well to surfaces
One of the worse algae to battle, you want to pull off as much as you can by hand, reduce white light intensity and remove roots with a dental pick or small crochet needle
After cleaning, add cleaners such as large nerite snails, chitons, pitho crabs
Grab out a handful, chop it to bits and throw the mush back in the tank. It’ll soon be everywhere, lolOh I actually want it. I just wanted to verify it was bryopsis before allowing it to spread as it was different from the other stuff I had. I’m trying to keep lettuce seaslugs.
Good to hear it’s just larger bryopsis.
Funny thing is it isnt. I have had this bunch for months and did that and my rocks are algae free except for where i initially attached this stuff. Why I was starting to wonder if it was actually bryopsisGrab out a handful, chop it to bits and throw the mush back in the tank. It’ll soon be everywhere, lol
I may be a contrarian here, but that does not look like what I had in my tank when I had bryopsis. Mine looked more like fern fronds. Your picture looks stringier to me.Oh I actually want it. I just wanted to verify it was bryopsis before allowing it to spread as it was different from the other stuff I had. I’m trying to keep lettuce seaslugs.
Good to hear it’s just larger bryopsis.
