Hello there. I’ve had some gulf live rock in a tank for about six weeks now. It is beautiful rock but is completely covered in Bryopsis. I have one peace of LR from a trusted lfs and funny enough there isn’t a price of Bryopsis growing.
My question is, has anyone had luck just plucking it out every day? I do not want to use chemicals. My first saltwater tank I used fluc on Bryopsis and Dino’s settles in and I never regained a healthy ecosystem in the tank. I had to tear it down I am in the belief that everything evens out in the end. The main reason I bought the gulf rock was to have as much bio diversity as possible so I do not want to add any chemicals to harm the balance.
