It's too early to tell but I can relay one thing for sure
The ideal action is independent of ID
Regardless of species there's two options: take endless measure and counter measure on the water to starve it
or lift it out and scrub it off with a spray of peroxide afterwards as cleanup, and burn it clean as cheat mode while your tank is still as accessible at it is. I choose option b algae free since 2011 and I kept my scape accessible, though coral filled in
I own no test kits other than temp and salinity
