I have bryopsis. Tried dosing Vibrant for quite awhile, with what seems little success. I managed to get Reef Flux. What affects will it have bumpy using it?

I read the large thread regarding fluconazole with some people saying it cooked their sps? Would one assume this is caused by human error in their cases, or poor filtration?

Would it make sense to under dose a bit and leave skimmer running?

I have a large amount of sps and lps, and would be heart broken if I lost them. I want to do as much research as possible, before I attempt dosing. System volume is around 270g

I have used it with no effect on sps, it actually effects lps and softies more, if it does effect anything. I have a 120 gal tank and used 12 tabs the first time and 16 tabs the second time. I recommend breaking the tabs apart and dumping them into a small container and mixing it with tank water that way so it completely dissolves. The second time I dosed it I kept my skimmer off for a week to make sure it didn't get skimmed out and still no effect. I also have a mixed reef tank. Your N03 and P04 will rise though as the bryopsis dies off, their is nothing you can do before the full treatment, but it will need to be remedied after the treatment, slowly though.

What's the dose amount pill/gallon?

Would you under dose a bit to see if lps stress? If not then go up.

And I could run gfo during to pull as most as possible out from water correct?

1 pill = 10 gallons.

their bottle actually says you can double the dose if needed. So I think 1 pill per 10g is an adjusted safe amount.

1 pill per 10 gal, I only run a carbon reactor and I took it offline as well.

any aeration issues with leaving skimmer off?

I am on my second day, so no issues so far. The instructions state to leave the skimmer on for 3 days, so as long as you have proper surface agitation, I think you should be fine.

I kept my skimmer running when I did the regimen and just took the collection cup off. I did not have any ill effects on any livestock or chaeto algae. If you take the skimmer offline I would add an airstone or additional surface agitation.

I left skimmer off 72 hours like directions told me on flux rx. I figured they say that for a reason. I just followed it and my bryopsis melted in 4 days. Still ran the 14 days. Now battling some gha
