My tank is about a month and a half old. I have a clown fish. Pistol shrimp and goby, 6 hermits and 2 snails. Hammer coral, Xenia, acan and zoa. I originally thought I was going through the ugly stage and I was working on maintaining low nutrients to stop this algae I had going on. I then realized I think it’s bryopsis, I was curious if you think reef flux would be a bad idea on such a young tank?

I’m not an expert, but I’m going to say no it’s not a good idea. I’m against putting any chemicals into a tank, and considering the fact that you have GHA, it’s not necessary.

I’m no expert but from the pics I have to agree it looks like GHA. I’ve had Bryopsis and used Reef Flux and it worked very well with minimal issues, but I’d be weary of using it unless I knew for sure it was needed.
