FTS shoulda busted out the windex

for some reason this frag has persistent hair algae that the CuC ignores....and seems to be surrounded by cyno .... any ideas?

I'm having a hair algae problem right now. Stuff isn't fun. Take out the frag and scrub off all the algae with a tooth brush. That long of algae us too much for most CUC to take care of. They seem to like shorter stuff.. hope you cab get rid of it. Or dip it in peroxide for 5-10 minutes. Your polyps won't open up for a couple days but it should get rid of the algae

scrubbing this piece isn't really a viable option ...Its a Intersection of a plastic egg crate glued to a square frag tile....with about 10 polyps on It....I have been surrounding it with small rocks to get a polyp to move off so I can have one "just incase" before I try anything more than just pulling off what I can get hold of. I think there may be something on the frag leeching as there is always a mess that follows it...IE GHA and cyno... calling these guys my pigpen polyps... 8) thanks for the reply...may try peroxide after a bit of reaserch. B

Cut it from the egg crate? You could just try and pluck it yourself. Don't let it loose in the water tho. It may spread

Caught this little bugger last night! Banished to the sump for now. Man was he bent...evil little thing. Put him in with my lawnmower and the attacks started ...watched him grab ahold of the gill flap on my lawnmower blenny and drag him almost a foot. Before the net came down

anyone tell me what this green encruster is? it came in as a hitchhiker in between two shrooms
