BTA after splitting

I know, I've read a whole bunch on flow vs light vs nutrients, however, at the end of the day it seems to be a mystery. Here was mine when I first put it in the tank and today.

How big is it ? Those tentacles look dam. Long lol

Bought a small one about 2 years ago for $30 . I never direct feed just the tank. If i did direct feed i'd have 3 times as many. I should sell HaHa. I wonder what rainbows are going for now?

I bought my four rose bta's all attached to about a ten pound rock for $80 from a guy with 30+. Don't direct feed either and neither did he. I've seen them go from $20 to $200.

Gotta control them... assuming they have good light and maybe getting some food they will take over a tank. As long as you have good light they don't seem to care about much else including water quality. One 5 years ago eventually became that and I've given away, traded and sold 100+ in the past. Trying to take back my tank now and get back to maybe a couple. I had other issues a few years ago that took out most of my SPS and I pretty much let the tank go a couple years I was mostly out of town and you see the result. Plus they have managed to kill a few corals in the past.

WOW!

try less flow

I've tried different things is doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Also then made the rest of corals mad, so I've just let it be

I have no idea, I've never measured, but yes if it hadn't bubble the first week it was in the tank I would have thought I got a LTA instead of a BTA.

One day I want a clown fish harem tank, this is what I image it will look like. You've inspired me.

Ok I only have 3 clowns right now but these 2 have been laying eggs pretty much non stop the past few months. Never seen any survive past hatch but hey if nothing else fresh fish food. The black snowflake hooked up with the true percula and they banished the ORA version black snowflake (orange face). One of these days I will get them in a clown/nem only tank.

My Rose BTA just did a 3 way split yesterday after doing a double split a few months ago. I quit feeding them many months ago hoping they wouldn't grow or split. So now I have 4 in a 45g which will lead to tank surgery. Of course the clowns ignore all of them.

I returned 2 large BTA's from my 25g tank to the LFS as they were taking over the tank and killing corals. Got nice credit for them.

Whoa, I'd be in for one if you decide to ship!
