I had a pair of cleaner shrimp and about 3 small peppermint shrimp. Well the pm shrimp came up missing one by one. I assumed maybe my big hippo tang ate them or they died and the cuc just ate the corpse. I notice a few days ago I have a cleaner shrimp missing. Today I see the 2 long antenna sticking out of the mouth of my big bta. I never assumed this would happen. Has anyone else seen this? Maybe the shrimp molted and bumped into the bta

My anemones grab and eat molts all the time. The hiding scrymp usually shows up.

Anemones will always eat your fish, inverts etc... if they go visit it and are small enough they can't get away. Totally normal

He was a smaller shrimp. I guess I just assumed he was safe or at least smarter than that lol

I can't imagine a bubble tip being able to eat a cleaner shrimp. I have dozens of them and a pair of cleaners and they can walk right over all of them no issue. They do, however, like to eat the molt of the shrimp.
