So...my RBTA split. Yesterday I found the newbie in the back of the tank and really didn't think much about it. Today, I found out why. He has attached himself to the cuc. Should I be concerned? This is a Caribbean cuc I have had for years. I did reach in and try to separate, but no go there and did not want to hurt either of them. Should I just hope that BTA will attach to a rock at some point?

It will move on eventually. I wouldn't bother it.

And you were right! Just went and checked (can't stay away from the tank especially if something interesting is going on). The BTA has let go of the cuc and attached to a rock. Phew. Sure didn't want a cuc explosion. LOL
