BTA care, What to look out for?

Hey everyone, I have been wanting a BTA for a long time now and I think it would be a great addition for my 45 gallon. What should I look out for? How should I care for them?

In general, Rose BTA's are a bit hardier than the Green Neon BTA's. When looking for one at the LFS, looks for one with good, full color. If it is even slightly bleached, I would avoid it. You also want to be on the lookout for lesions on the oral disc and the foot, they will look like white scars on the anemone. If the anemone is already floating around in the tank and not attached, do not buy it. If there a little bit of brownish mucus on its mouth, do not buy it. You want to start with the best possible anemone in order to give yourself the best chance of success with it. I would also wait a couple of days for it to establish itself in your aquarium before introducing a clownfish to it. Always try to do a slow-drip acclimation with anemones too but make sure they stay temperature acclimated to the tank they are going in as well.

Couldn't have said it better. I have an anemone tank at my place pretty easy to take care. I wanted to share this post about feeding your anemone as that may be your next question. +1 on introducing a clownfish to the anemone.
