My BTA has been doing this thing lately where it closes like this for an hour or so and then opens back up completely fine. It has been in the tank for 2 weeks now... my tank is 8 months old and everytime it does this I test the tank and everything is stable. It hasn’t moved from this spot which doesn’t get any light at all in the 2 weeks so maybe that has something to do with it? I’m attaching an image of it closed and open.

I’ve had my anemone for months and it does the same thing as well

I have 3 btas 2 red and 1 green and the main bigger one I have, the mouth stays open for long periods of time now, I'm keeping an eye on it and hope it doesn't die. But the other 2 I have do the same as yours mainly towards the end of the light cycle.

Have rose bta that split and they both do that from time to time. I believe it is normal. They been in my tank for almost two years
