I plan to make a nem tank. It will probably be a 40 with 20g sump. I'm curious how much flow I should shoot for? Is it feasible to get 100% of flow from a return pump in this size tank?

Might work if u add a flow modifier like seaswirl or those rotating nozzles...
If it works might be terribly than risking powerheads in a tank full of anemones

I currently run my RSR Max nano with the stock return pump, because my BTAs do much better than with either of the 2 powerheads I added, and ultimately I decided if the BTAs didn’t respond overwhelmingly positive with the additional powerhead, I’d rather not have it for peace of mind from the mobile nems, and for aesthetics

For a tank that size, sea-swirl thingy and bigger return pump will probably be enough
