my BTA that I have had for a few months now has not extended his tentacles for three days now he is all sucked into his little crevice, the tips of his tentacles are out and look like there normal color. All parameters are normal and nothing has changed, is this something I should worry about?

Have you stirred up the sand or made recent changes?

They're definatly weird and like to pout from time to time.

I did my weekly water change and cleaned the sand with a turkey baster like every other time, nothing new, I did notice that when the lights go out he comes out, but not inflated like usual.

Hmm. Well I'd agree, give it a little more time. Maybe it just didn't like it this time and is having a tantrum. I agree it's about a week till I worry.
Maybe tes the ammonia and see if some thing got stirred up? But I'd suspect it's just indigestion.

Thanks I tested all parameters and no ammonia, I will just wait for him to stop pouting.

+1

I've often seen BTAs with what appears to be just the ends of their tentacles protruding from the rock. As long as the tentacles appear lively, colored and inflated, I wouldn't panic just yet.
