Hey all. Hope everyone is staying cool and dry ( except the fishes). So I have a green bta. It's been doing really well and then for the past week or so I noticed its fully open but its tentacles are retracted and short. It still responds to feeding and still reacts if my cleaner shrimp mess with it. Even after a feeding its tentacles stay short. I've had it for a couple months so I dont think its acclimation related.

Also I did have an all swing. Normally I run between 9.3 and 9.6. I added some new corals and some have gotten bigger so when I tested it was 8.6. I dose with regular baking soda. I know it couldn't have been a fast swing because I add it to my ato. I normally test every 2 weeks or so. I'm thinking it dropped over that time span.

Here is the kicker. I also have a RBTA and it is long and flowing in all its glory. So I'm doubting the alk change.

What yall think?

Is your green BTA looking better now?

Yup yup! Thank you for asking. I'm getting rdy to supplement t5 amd turn down the led. I'm excited to see how they react

Good to hear its doing better. I don't think an alk swing of that much would cause problems.
