Hello all,I’m knew here so pls be gentle if I’ve done something wrong or posted in the wrong forum. anyways a few weeks ago I won an amazing rainbow speckled bta (I’lol post pics below) he adjusted well to my tanks and was living it up in my tank, however for the past few day I’ve noticed a string of disappearances and mishaps happening I’ve lost a royal gramma and a ruby red dragonet. I also noticed some of my corals are retracted and my Duncans have developed necrosis on their stocks. At first I thought they were suffering from pests I suspected bristle worms so I staYes up late to see I a can catch any. That’s when I caught my Nem taking a stroll across the tank stinging and kill as he pleases then returning back to his spot in the morning any idea how to stop this? Otherwise I fear I may have to get rid of him or trade him

That’s what anemones do. They move until they find a happy spot.
As for your fishes the bubble tip didn’t kill them unless they were already dying

for a while. when he moves is the easiest time to put him back
Alright then I’ll just do that, but are you sure he didn’t eat the fish I don’t have any predator in my tank and he under a drop of I could imagine the dragonet scooted onto Him and was overwhelmed by sting before he could escape

Ah ok then I’ll put him on an island and surround it with euphyllia. I’ll make it maximum security and all
Nems will cruise on the sand bed and even run up the walls of your tank. I had one that spent the better part of a week making friends with my return jet.

Seems like a lot of hassle to be constantly moving them back, now I’m worried about him clogging my overflows

no chance unless the fish was sick and weak. I have both a royal gramma and mandarin with them in my tank for the past 4 years. They have never eaten any of my fish.

oh one more thing to worry about...one anemone becomes many! I started with 1 rainbow and 1 rose. It has split into over 30 rainbows and 3 roses. I trade them back to the LFS for credit.

Oh ya I’ve read they tend to split after water changes. How often do yours split?

When they are stressed for sure / if you feed them often / when they run out of room. 1 became 3, 3 became 9, I stopped counting after that. They don't split very often maybe once a year or 2. but I could make them split every month if i wanted to.

Check your parameters. My fish including a gramma and a bicolor get really close to my bta's. My guess is bta is not the problem. You can see the royal hiding in the left corner. I've seen my yellow tang actually touch them with no issues.
