Hey

So I added an awesome BTA today, it found its spot (so I thought)

Attached and was looking exactly like it did in the store all plumped up. But as soon as the lights went out tonight, it's decided to up and move.

Currently it's moved down to the sand under one of my arch ways. Is it normal for news to move at night? It actually looks like it's attached to the sand right now as it'd not blowing around etc.

This might be a stupid question, but can it physically move itself around or does it rely on getting blown around with the flow until it lands somewhere it likes?

It walks on its foot. Also they will let go and flow to a new spot. Don't feed or mess with him unless he is in danger from a pump. He might move for a while yet. Enjoy. One of mine went flying and then stuck to the glass and crawled to the bottom. Lol. Nems be crazy.n

They can use the water to move them around, or move by foot. As soon as you can get your nem guards, the better for you and your nem.

It is very normal for bta's to move. They can sit idle for months and be on the run.

This morning its wedged itself into a crevice, away from any light when that comes on in a couple of hours.

That happens too. I can give you links to many new btas going into hiding for weeks. And one day, there it is!

Mine did it too.

OK so just have to leave it be and do its thing.
Yup, going in after it won't really solve anything. It will just move again if it wants and you'll further stress things. Just ensure correct parameters and stability. If you notice it taking a turn for the worse then a cipro treatment may be necessary. However unless for an emergency, hands off it best practice.

I've got a nem gaurd on the way. Could only find one off etsy that fit my jebao so will test that out.

Parameters are stable, so hopefully when the lights come on today, he will move around the rock a bit more. Will probably have to move my leather that's right next to it though

Whilst I wait for some nem guards, I've placed a mesh filter bag around the power heads. Not sure how effective it will be bit I'm sure it will be better than no protection at all!
Very good temporary fix.

It worked. Again once the light goes out the BTA detaches and goes on the move.

Watched it get blown onto the pump and it sort of just gets stuck against the mesh bag but no damage.

Seems the nem just wants to hide out of the light all day still though.

Which jebao are you using? Do you have a link to the Etsy ?
